As a Lymphoedema specialist, I have completed advanced and comprehensive training in the treatment of lymphoedema as well as additional specialised training to understand the pathology of cancer, the treatments used and the side effects of those treatments. I have also completed Scarwork training that allows me to treat post-surgery scars and post-radiotherapy fibrosis.
 

Supporting patients dealing with the side-effects of cancer treatment remains at the heart of the services that I offer. I strongly believe that any patient who has undergone treatment for cancer, and is suffering the often long-term conditions related to treatment, should have the choice to access supportive and therapeutic treatments to manage symptoms and improve their quality of life.​ I also strongly believe that knowledge is power and that all patients benefit from knowing about any potential side-effects and how, when, and where to get treatment and support.

 

In terms of when to get treatment, my advice is 'It is never too early'! Early diagnosis and treatment of lymphoedema, scar adhesions and fibrosis, reduces many problems associated with treatment and diagnosis delay. We need to shout about it!
